4 Successful Secrets to Look Your Best Through Meditation

You’ve probably heard that meditation is a powerful tool that can be used to improve your mind, but did you know that meditation can also improve your physical appearance? It’s true. Believe it or not, when you have a healthy mind and attitude, it shines through in your physical appearance.

Here are four ways you can use meditation to look your very best:

Visualization

Visualization is a simple yet powerful meditation technique that can help you achieve your goals. Suppose your goal is to lose you weight; you can visualize yourself successfully reaching this goal. Close your eyes and picture yourself looking the way you want to look; see yourself as the thinner version of yourself you are striving to be.

Mantras

Mantras are another simple yet powerful meditation tool that will help you achieve a goal. A mantra is a word or phrase that is repeated over and over… Again, assume your goal is to lose weight. Let’s say you want to lose 10 lb. You could start out by repeating a simple mantra, like, “I am going to lose 10 lb… I am going to lose 10 lb…” Maybe your goal is to lose 2 lb every week until you reach your end goal; you could use the mantra, “I will lose 2 lb this week… I will lose 2 lb this week…” Obviously, mantras will work for goals other than just weight loss. Maybe your goal is to become more muscular; you could apply the same principles to that goal.

Meditating to Relieve Stress

We know that stress can have a negative effect on a person’s appearance. Stress can cause you to gain weight, have breakouts, and even age more rapidly. When you de-stress yourself through meditation, you are indirectly improving your physical appearance as a result of being more relaxed.

Breathing Meditations

Breathing meditations, as the name implies, focuses on breathing techniques. For example, find a comfortable and quiet place. Close your eyes and notice only what is being experienced in the moment – sounds, physical sensations, etc… — After a short while, start focusing your attention on your breathing. Pay close attention to the air entering and existing your lungs. Make sure you are sitting up straight and taking long, slow, deliberate breaths. This type of meditation will help bring more oxygen into your lungs and into your blood stream, slowing down the aging process and rejuvenating your body.
